The correspondent bank

Transferring money to Bhutan requires the use of an intermediary bank (also called a correspondent bank):

  • Depending on your bank, it might not be necessary to indicate this intermediary bank, as your bank will know which correspondent bank to use.

  • However, if you do need to provide the details of a correspondent bank, you will find a list of them at the following address here

The wire transfer

While making the wire transfer, enter the following information (the most information are in bold):

  • Name: Soha Voyage 

  • Account number: 640199061

  • Bank: Bhutan National Bank 

  • SWIFT code: BNBTBTBT

  • Address of the bank: Bhutan National Bank, Post Box: 1121, Nordzin Lam II, Corporate Office, 11001 Thimphu, Bhutan

  • Address of Soha Voyage (Travel Agency): Semya Lam n°U1900E, Mothithang, 11001 Thimphu, Bhutan

  • If the space provided is too limited, please write the missing information in the “comments” section so the bank has all necessary details.

The amount

Regarding the amount, you should:

  • Enter the total in USD

  • If this option in USD is not available, convert the amount from USD to your currency and enter the amount in your usual currency (after conversion)

  • and select “to be paid in USD.”

  • If you are unsure, feel free to explain the transfer to your banker and ask for guidance.

  • The Soha Voyage team remains at your disposal for any further information.
